Proof and Specimen Envelopes. Exceptional collection of more than 90 envelopes arranged by year and department, each labeled "United States Postage Stamps", "Proof Specimens" or some variation on that, with years of issue, special purpose and names of departments, wide range with each area showing varieties in size and printing, a few have some toning and a couple torn but overall the condition is Very Fine, a rare assemblage, when we sell sets of India paper or card proofs, they are greatly enhanced by the presence of the distribution envelope but they come that way infrequently, this collection would be a great enhancement to an essay/proof holding, we recommend viewing on our website PDF

A RARE LARGE MULTIPLE OF THE ALL-OVER "MUSIC BOX" 3-CENT 1861 ISSUE GRILL ESSAY, WITH AN EXTREMELY FINE PLATE BLOCK OF EIGHT.
