5c Red Brown, Reproduction (3). Without gum as issued, full margins, minor lightened stain at top left is difficult to detect, appears, Very Fine, with 2026 P.F. certificate
1c Blue, Ty. II, Plate 3 (7). Position 4R3, huge margins to just touched at bottom including part of sheet margin at top, intense shade and impression, in our 2010 sale of the Wagshal collection we mentioned a small tear at top center in margin only, however close examination this time around revealed no tear, Extremely Fine, ex Neinken and Wagshal
3c Dull Red, Ty. I, II (11-11A). Two stamps, first No. 11, rich color and full margins to ample at bottom, tied by full strike of "Lancaster Ms. Aug. 18" circular datestamp on piece, Very Fine and choice, we have encountered few 1851 Issue stamps used from Lancaster Mass., second No. 11A distinctly different shade, full margins to ample at bottom, clear strike of green Lancaster Pa. circular datestamp, Very Fine and choice, a lovely pair of stamps with the same town name but different states, with 2024 and 1989 P.F. certificates respectively
12c Black, Plate 1 (36). Choice centering, red grid cancel, Extremely Fine, with 2013 P.S.E. certificate (VF-XF 85)
24c Gray Lilac (37). Rich color, face-free strike of grid cancel, fresh and Fine, this stamp is rarely found with face-free cancels, as a review using Power Search will confirm, with 1998 A.P.S. certificate
Small Classic Used Balance (63/116). Five used stamps with certificates, including No. 63, well-centered, face-free circular datestamp cancel, Extremely Fine, with 2021 P.F. certificate (XF 90); No. 65 with a green circular datestamp, with 2016 P.S.E. certificate; No. 69 with red circular datestamp, Very Fine, with 2012 P.F. certificate; No. 73 with a "PAID" face-free cancel, a shorter perf at bottom not mentioned on 1998 P.F. or 2023 P.S.E. certificates (latter VF-XF 85); finally No. 116, largely face-free segmented cork cancel, Very Fine, with 1999 P.F. certificate, see PDF for a complete scan
15c Black (77). Choice centering and margins, segmented cork cancel as well as clear red transit cancel at top, Extremely Fine, a pretty stamp, with 2021 P.S.A.G. certificate (VF-XF 85)
3c Red, F. Grill (94). Original gum, lightly hinged, clear grill, Very Fine, with 1983 P.F. and 2014 P.S.E. certificates
2c Red Brown, H. Grill (135). Rich color, wide and balanced margins all around, bold Maltese Cross cancel, Extremely Fine, a lovely used example of the 2c National Bank Note H Grill, ex Zoellner, Twigg-Smith and Dr. Grassi, with 2024 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90)
24c Purple (153). Exceptionally deep and distinctive shade, choice margins and centering, cork cancel, Extremely Fine, ex Kirke, with two 2005 P.F. certificates (VF-XF 85)
30c Gray Black (165). Wide and well-balanced margins, intense shade, exceptionally bold strike of unusual geometric cancel which we feel gives the stamp a "zebra-like" appearance, Extremely Fine and striking, ex Kirke and Dr. Grassi, with 1991 (incorrectly calling it a New York Foreign Mail cancel) and 2001 (geometric cancel) P.F. certificates, with 2005 and 2024 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90)
1c Dark Ultramarine (182). Original gum, rich color, choice centering, Extremely Fine, with 1992 P.F. certificate
5c Blue (185). Wide margins and excellent centering, deep rich color, double-oval cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb used stamp, with 2004 and 2019 P.F. certificates (XF-Superb 95 XQ)
1c Ultramarine (212). Mint N.H., rich color on bright paper, tiny natural paper inclusion, Extremely Fine, with 1990 P.F. certificate

Bottom imprint, plate no. 77 and letter "S" strip of four, original gum, deep rich color and proof-like impression, the left stamp shows a clear plate scratch at top in "Postage" (this has been plated to Position 47 of the left pane), few perf separations sensibly reinforced, top left stamp small toned spot from gum at top, second spot in selvage at center, second stamp from right tiny tear at right, Very Fine appearance, a scarce 50c Columbian imprint and plate number strip, ex Schwartz and Petersen
$3.00 Yellow Green, Columbian (243). Appears unused but certified as cancel removed and regummed over a small thin, otherwise Very Fine, with 2026 P.F. certificate, SCV as used
