Sale 1305, Lot 2216, Postmasters' Provisionals

Baltimore Md. and New Haven Conn. Postmasters' Provisionals, Reprints and Ephemera. Eclectic group of material, the New Haven is the most extensive and where the vast majority of the value lies, with eight different reprints including 1874 Peets (faint toning, Scott value $1,200), also a couple Carroll Alton Means booklets and a number of New Haven stampless covers, also some later commemorative material celebrating the Provisional, mixed condition with some faults on a few of the reprints, the Baltimore group includes a cover free franked by James M. Buchanan (edge staining), others, overall an interesting collection
