2c Red Brown, H. Grill (135). Bright shade, clear grill, face-free strike of red cancel, Very Fine and choice, ex Gorham, with 1983 and 2004 P.F. certificates
3c Green, H. Grill, Split Grill (136 var). Showing part of grill at left and part at right, unusually strong grill points, wide margins, neat strike of "N" cancel of Nagasaki, Japan, Very Fine and choice

Accumulation of 16 used stamps, one is a pair and three are the Grilled issue, beautiful range of cancels including beer mug, fancy letters, star, "US", NYFM, colored with both red and blue, strong and attractive strikes, we did not note any obvious faults and the accompanying 11 P.F. or P.S.E. certificates are all sound, Fine-Very Fine, a choice group
10c Brown, H. Grill (139). Several noticeable grill points, rich color, cork and red cancels, wide margins, Very Fine
12c Dull Violet, H. Grill (140). Clear grill, pastel color, cork and part of red cancel at lower left, couple slightly nibbed perfs at left, otherwise Very Good, with 1965 P.F. certificate, Scott value with red cancel

Superb centering and margins, intense shade, vivid red New York Foreign Mail Negative Multipoint Star in Circle cancel, there is an odd diagonal bend in paper with printer's purple ink on back which we think is a natural artifact of the production process, still Extremely Fine, a fantastic looking stamp, SCV $240
