Ex "Alan". With 2009 P.S.E. certificate calling the gum "slightly disturbed" (DOG, XF-Superb 95 Jumbo). Only four hinged stamps grade higher (all at 98) and only seven others share this desirable grade.

Feb. 3 '94 7 AM" circular datestamp, Very Fine and scarce cancel on the $5.00, this datestamp was used on board the German steamers of the North German Lloyd and HAPAG lines on their way between New York and Germany, it is also most unusual and refreshing to find a straight edge on a dollar value Columbian stamp — nearly all have been reperfed, Scott value as normal cancel
