1c Blue, Ty. II (7). Plate 2, original gum, large margins to just barely touched at bottom, rich color, light vertical gum bend, Very Fine
1c Blue, Ty. IV (9). Recut once at top and bottom, slightly disturbed original gum, three full margins, touched at bottom, bright color, Very Fine
1c Blue, Ty. IV (9). Large to huge margins, lightly cancelled by blue circular datestamp, beautiful deep shade and impression, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2015 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo)
1c Blue, Ty. II, IIIa, IV, Dr. Chase Color Study (7, 8A, 9). 21 stamps hinged to an album page and arranged by year from 1851-57, notations below each with types and positions, the year arrangements are based on Dr. Chase's study of the differences in shades by year (and by plate), each stamp with a handstamp cancel without any pen cancels, margins are generally quite attractive with few touching or in, condition also looks to be choice though it is possible that removal could reveal a few small faults, overall Very Fine and exceptional study, the top of the page references the 1925 auction of Dr. Chase's 1c 1851-57 collection, from which these stamps originated, Scott value for the stamps alone
3c Orange Brown, Ty. II (10A). Position 44L1E (Chase plating), unused (no gum), ample margins to barely in at bottom left, rich color, Fine and attractive
3c Brownish Carmine, Type I (11). Positions 31-34/41-44R7, two blocks of four rejoined to form a block of eight, huge margins to full at top including sheet margin at left, brilliant color, cancelled by four strikes of blue "Oberlin O. May 26" circular datestamp, horizontal crease thru both blocks
EXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. A GORGEOUS RECONSTRUCTED LARGE USED BLOCK OF THE 3-CENT 1851 TYPE I, WITH A STELLAR PROVENANCE.
Ex Waterhouse, Caspary and Eubanks. Both of the blocks of four with 1998 P.F. certificates. Scott value $2,000.00 as two blocks.
3c Dull Red, Ty. II (11A). Original gum, h.r., large margins to clear including part of adjoining stamp at bottom, few black threads adhering to back, Very Fine
5c Red Brown (12). Unused (no gum), three ample margins, just touched at top, completely sound
FRESH AND FINE. A SCARCE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1856 ISSUE.
With 2023 P.F. certificate.
5c Red Brown (12). Unused, certificate states regummed but in our opinion the gum is original, rich color, margins clear to touched at bottom and right, light vertical crease

10c Green, Ty. I (13). Four huge margins including bottom sheet margin, vibrant color on fresh white paper, partial Lowell Mass. circular datestamp
EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1855 10-CENT TYPE I IN THE FINEST CONDITION POSSIBLE.
The 10c Type I stamps are defined as having complete scrolls at bottom. They are only found on the bottom row of the plate (20 positions). For some reason, they were usually trimmed at bottom when they were separated, leaving a dearth of quality copies. This example, with its enormous margins, is an extreme exception to the rule.
Ex Brown, Krug and Eubanks (on cover). With 2021 P.F. certificate (on cover) and 2022 P.F. certificate (Superb 98—really deserving of the Jumbo appellation).
10c Green, Ty. I (13). Large to enormous margins including sheet margin at bottom, dotted rectangular grid cancel struck twice (described as a French dotted grid cancel on certificate, but it is definitely not), two thins at bottom and light corner crease at bottom left well below design, Extremely Fine appearance, with 2008 P.S.E. certificate (VG-F 60)

12c Black (17). Large part original gum which covers three-quarters of the back, full to large margins, deep shade
VERY FINE AND CHOICE EXAMPLE OF THE 12-CENT 1851 ISSUE WITH LARGE PART ORIGINAL GUM.
Original-gum examples of the 12c 1851 Issue come in a deep shade on thick paper (this stamp) and a grayish shade on thinner Part India paper.
