The $2.00 Trans-Mississippi issue is widely regarded as being the most difficult denomination of the series to obtain with any decent-size margins. The margins are almost always narrow on the $2.00, making it difficult for collectors of Gem-quality stamps to fill this space in their albums.
With 2008 P.S.E. certificate (OGh, XF-Superb 95). Only three stamps grade higher (highest is 98).
1c Green & Black, Pan-American, Center Inverted (294a). Rich colors, indistinct cancel, repaired including small addition to left margin and two large sealed tears
A PRESENTABLE EXAMPLE OF THE RARE USED ONE-CENT PAN-AMERICAN INVERT.
The 1c Pan-American Invert in used condition is considerably scarcer than unused. Our census, available at https://siegelauctions.com/census/us/scott/294a, records 56 used examples, including 48 singles, 2 in a pair, 3 stamps on pieces and 3 stamps on separate covers.

FRESH AND FINE EXAMPLE OF THE 4-CENT PAN-AMERICAN INVERT WITH SPECIMEN OVERPRINT. VERY SCARCE WITH UNDISTURBED ORIGINAL GUM.
A total of 173 4c Pan-American Invert stamps were distributed by the Third Assistant Postmaster General's office, and an additional 97 were traded by the National Museum. The majority of stamps distributed by the Post Office Department had the "Specimen" overprint, but some did not. Many have thin spots and/or disturbed gum. This sound original-gum example is better than the majority we have encountered.

EXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED TOP PLATE BLOCK OF THE 5-CENT 1908 IMPERFORATE ISSUE.
According to Johl, only 29 sheets of 400 of the 5c imperforate were issued. Most were sent to Indianapolis and the majority was used by manufacturers of private coils. Some unused were acquired by collectors (including 825 copies distributed to members of the Detroit Philatelic Society).

1c-10c Louisiana Purchase, Large Die Proofs on India (323P1-327P1). Complete set, die sunk on approximately 203 x 150mm cards, spectacular colors throughout, blue Bureau control numbers on back of each (1c—132147; 2c—132688; 3c—133416; 5c—134165; 10c—134623), trivial light toning along edges of 1c and 2c cards (from storage in original kraft envelopes which held each set), 10c with light card toning and a couple specks not affecting the India paper
VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE COMPLETE SET OF FULL-SIZE LARGE DIE PROOFS FOR THE 1904 LOUISIANA PURCHASE ISSUE.
Very few sets are known of the Louisiana Purchase issue large die proofs. We have encountered only one other complete, full size set, which is ex Livingston and in similar choice condition to this set (Sale 1037, lot 1233). This set is fresh and highly exhibitable.
