Jul. 14" (1851) circular datestamp on buff cover to Hadlyme Conn., printed two-line return address "From S. A. WEAVER & Co. New-London Ct. CIRCULAR" with stamp affixed over the word "Circular" since it was an ordinary first-class letter, small edge tears at bottom and some slight wear, still Very Fine, an early use of the 1851 Issue and very rare corner-margin 3c Orange Brown, the use of a return address envelope at this early date is also unusual, ex Sharrer

3c 1851 Issue, Sheet Margins from All Plates (10-11A). Two presentation pages with used stamps hinged onto the pages, first shows an example from all 13 plates that produced imperforate stamps, many of these with sheet margins, including all the Nos. 10-10A plates, second page repeats just the Nos. 11-11A plates with centerline examples, including a pair and two strips of three, the pair with huge corner margins, a couple small flaws may be found but overall Fine-Very Fine and beautiful appearance, a nice way to feature all the imperforate 3c plates

3c 1851-57 Issue, Imprints (11-11A, 26). Balance of 11 covers with part imprint sheet margins, six imperforate and five perforated stamps, a few also have "No." but none with complete plate number, four of the perforated stamps have captured part imprints due to misperforating and one has part imprint in the selvage, a few small faults, overall Fine-Very Fine and desirable group, see our website PDF

Feby. 6" postmark, to Winfield Va., Very Fine and exceptional, this is the greatest margin-to-stamp ratio we have encountered on a used 3c 1851 stamp

Exceptional collection of 29 singles or pairs with corner sheet margins, including eleven with interpane margins and centerlines, the non-sheet margin sides generally range from touched to full, range of shades in the Dull Red family, all but one with neat handstamp cancels including a few in blue, a few small faults may be encountered but the condition is fresh — reflecting the eye of the Penguin, who loved corner sheet margin classic stamps

Collection of approximately 38 items, including singles, pairs and larger strips, all with sheet margins, including a number with corner sheet margins, a few interpane margins and centerlines, and seven with part imprint and/or plate number, range of shades in the Dull Red family and a few Orange Brown (10-10A) as well, one plate no. single is a perforated No. 26 with part imprint and "No. 28" plate number, most with neat handstamp cancels, a few of the imprint examples with pen cancels, some faults to be found in such a study but overall very attractive and Fine-Very Fine with some Extremely Fine, four certificates accompany including a 95J from P.S.A.G.
