VERY FINE MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE RARE PERF 12 JOHN PAUL JONES ISSUE.
This issue was printed by the American Bank Note Company and perforated in three different formats: Perf 11 x 12 (Scott 1789), Perf 11 All Around (Scott 1789A) and Perf 12 All Around (Scott 1789B). It is believed that the USPS was unaware that there were different perforations. The Perf 12 All Around is by far the rarest.
With 2010 P.F. certificate.
20c Peace Garden, Black (Engraved) Omitted (2014a). Mint N.H. bottom right corner plate no. block of four, bright color, lacking all text and details of the flowers, Very Fine, a rare and desirable plate block, Scott Errors catalogue notes 250-400 reported, this was printed in a plate of 200 with four panes of 50, this would mean that at most two plate blocks from this position could exist, or eight plate blocks total, with 2013 P.F. certificate, unlisted in Scott as a plate block, Scott value as singles $800
3c Conestoga Wagon, Coil, Imperforate Pair (2252b). Mint N.H. transitional strip of four with perforations appearing only at the right edge of pos. 4, first three stamps fully imperforate, Very Fine and rare, this is the first example we have offered since keeping computerized records in 1993, Scott value as one pair imperforate without premium for the rest of the strip
