5c Jamestown plate blocks are scarce in Mint N.H. state and rare with any semblance of decent centering. A review using Power Search bears this out and places this plate block in the top three of fewer than ten examples we have offered in the past 15 years. It has similar centering to the example from our sale of the "Great Point" collection (Sale 1256, lot 2162, realized $4,500 hammer) and is exceeded only by the example in our sale of the Zoellner collection (Sale 1335, lot 234, realized $12,500 hammer).
