Ex "Golden Oak", "Hanover" and Myerson. With 2009 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98). Only one grades higher (at 98J, we have never offered it) and just five others share this lofty grade.

2c Carmine, Alaska-Yukon (370). Mint N.H., mathematically perfect centering, deep rich color on bright paper, Extremely Fine Gem, an exceptional example of the 1909 Seward commemorative, with 2016 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100), this is the highest grade awarded and only two others have equaled it
2c Carmine, Hudson-Fulton (372). Mint N.H., brilliant color, near perfect centering with Jumbo margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2018 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo), only two grade higher and six others share this lofty grade

EXTREMELY FINE GEM MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1911 8-CENT PERF 12 SINGLE-LINE WATERMARK ISSUE, SCOTT 380. THIS STAMP IS GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. — ONLY ONE GRADES HIGHER AND NO OTHERS SHARE THIS GRADE.
With 2007 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98). Only one example of Scott 380 grades higher — the Gem 100 Jumbo stamp offered in our Sale 1156 in 2017 (realized $13,500 hammer). Since that stamp was graded in 2009, 16 years have passed and no other examples have reached a 98 or higher grade.
