3c Dull Red, Ty. I, II (11, 11A). Eleven covers, each was on the cusp of individual lotting, but offered together as a select group of unusual postal markings from Wade Saadi's 3c 1851 collection, includes a brilliant "paint red" datestamp, variety of "Paid" and "Paid 3" cancels, "Clermont N.Y." straightline, and more, minor faults, generally Fine-Very Fine, a wonderful group and chance to get eleven covers in one shot, three different with P.F. certificates
3c Dull Red, Ty. I, II (11, 11A). 68 covers from Wade Saadi's 3c 1851 collection—with his eye for the unusual or exceptional quality, one can expect this group to contain lots of beautiful covers (and you will not be disappointed)—most with singles, as we turn the pages we note Greenville Me. "53" 1853 year-dated datestamp (rare), small Star and Dots fancy cancel (Academy Pa.), oval town datestamps, blue Apalachicola Fla. "Paid 3" integral-rate datestamp, Lykens Pa. woodcut circle with diamond ornaments, "New York & Phila. R.R." (ex Grunin, so you know it is a beauty), South Union Ky framed datestamp (stamp creased), mixed imperf/perf on forwarded cover, a few pairs including California usage, one single on intra-California cover, "Advertised", "Missent", "Steam Boat" and "Lawrenceville N.J." straightlines, large part of cover with red "Lou. & Cin. S.B. Mail Line" datestamp and cork cancels, "Minneapolis M.T.", "Eastern R.R." "Prov. & Wor. R.R.", "Prov. & Stonington R.R.", "Morris & Essex R.R." — while the usual caveat for minor condition issues applies to this group, overall it is well above the typical quality for a 3c 1851 group lot, most are Very Fine, we recommend studying the website PDF and bidding live to compete for this extraordinary opportunity, five different with P.F. certificates
