R2c (uncancelled), R17c, R77c, R79c, R80c (2), R97c, R98c (2, one appears uncancelled), R100c (4, few shades), R101c (7, few shades), few other better, few small faults but generally significantly better quality than one normally encounters, Very Fine-Extremely Fine group
Perforated First Issue Revenues, Balance of Pairs. 12 pairs, including Nos. R8c, R79c, R87c, R93c, R95c, R96c, R101c (2), few small faults to be expected, overall centering is very nice, Very Fine group, Scott value approximately $2,500
Perforated First Issue Revenues, Balance of Blocks. 16 blocks of four or larger, including blocks of four of Nos. R28c, R45c, R64c, R82c, R84c, R86c, R96c, also R38c block of ten, few small faults to be expected, overall fresh and Fine-Very Fine, Scott value approximately $2,100
First Issue Revenue Imprints and Plate Numbers. 25 items all showing partial or complete imprints and plate numbers, including R3c plate no. 1A block of six, R24c plate no. 5C pair, R25c plate no. 5E pair, R44c plate no. 25C single, R63c plate no. 50L pair, R75c plate no. 100V single, R78a plate no. 150F strip of three, and R81c plate no. 200M single, small faults to be expected but generally Fine-Very Fine, a desirable collection of positional pieces, many of which are deceptively scarce with First Issue Revenue stamps, worth close inspection
First Issue Revenue Issue Plate Numbers. 32 items mostly collected by Wallace Cleland, including singles, pairs, strips and four blocks of four or larger, nearly all with part imprint, better items noted include Nos. R28c, R37b pair, R45a block of four (each small circular punch cancel), R49a, R89a and R98a, slightly mixed condition, still attractive and an excellent offering for the First Issue specialist, Scott value as ordinary stamps approximately $1,000, six are illustrated in Durland catalogue
First Issue Revenue Corner Plate Numbers. 10 items including R1c plate no. 1D single, R6c plate no. 2B single, R10c plate no. 2E block of 10, R15c plate no. 082 and 299 singles (two of the latter) and plate no. 299 block of four, R26c plate no. 5I strip of three, R33c plate no. 10A single, and R36b plate no. 10 single, few small faults but mostly Fine-Very Fine, a scarce group
Imperforate and Perforated First Issue Revenue Plate Varieties Collection. Approximately 170 mostly mounted on exhibit pages, most are double transfers but some are also double frame lines, few cracked or scratched plates, most pages have enlarged photos of the variety along with multiple examples of the variety, most are perforated but does contain some nice Imperforate such as R45a (2), R68a, R94a (2), also some proofs with a few trial color, among the better Perforated are R6c (tear), R24c with double transfer throughout (five examples), some are in blocks or strips, some faults to be expected but overall fresh and Fine-Very Fine, this is an incredible collection which would be virtually impossible to duplicate
First Issue Revenue Perforation and Imperforate/Perforated Printing Varieties. 35 singles and multiples exhibiting perforation anomalies or pre-printed paper folds, we note better including freak perforations on R74c, R80c (2), R81c, R82c, R87c, and R90c, pre-printing paper folds on R9a, R16c, R27a, R64c, and R69a, as well as R26c in pair with small flaw from foreign matter on the plate, generally Fine to Very Fine, an attractive and elusive group which would be nearly impossible to replicate
Imperforate, Part Perforated and Perforated First Revenue Issue Balance. Stock pages containing a wide array of issues, including imperforate, part perforated and a few perforated, better items include R1a (2), R51a (3), R61b, R62b, R64a (3), R65b (5), R68a, R71a, R75a (3), R76a (2, one with part imprint), R81a (3), R82a, R85a (3), R86a (2), R98a (4), also R9b pair, R78a pair (2), some other better such as R98a with corner sheet margin, few faults to be expected, overall fresh and Very Fine-Extremely Fine, a wonderful group
Perforated First Issue Revenue Balance. Stockbook containing a wide range of issues, denominations to $15.00 including R97e, fantastic array of cancels including express companies, customs house, mining, railroads and others, all are perforated, few faults to be expected, selected by the owner for either superior centering, cancel or both, majority are Very Fine-Extremely Fine, an outstanding group
First Revenue Issue Balance. Stockbook of mostly perforated and part perforated stamps with a few imperforates, including R45a pair, R45b, R56b, R57b, R61a, including several with nice handstamp cancels, few small faults but far better condition than normally seen, Very Fine and attractive group
