5c Dark Blue, Colored Border, 1865 Issue (PR1). Rich color, blue brushstroke cancel, small faults, still Fine, a scarce stamp in used condition, with 2014 P.F. certificate
25c Orange Red, Colored Border, 1865 Issue (PR3). With narrow top selvage, bold blue brushstroke cancel, light vertical crease at bottom, color slightly faded, otherwise Very Fine, this is in better condition than most used examples of this issue, with 2014 P.F. certificate
25c Orange Red, Colored Border, 1865 Issue (PR3). Large blue "P" brushstroke cancel, repaired with bottom left corner replaced, otherwise Fine, scarce in used condition, with 2014 P.F. certificate
25c Carmine Red, Colored Border, 1865 Issue (PR3a). With bottom imprint selvage, rich color, unobtrusive cancel, vertical and diagonal creases, Very Fine appearance, scarce with the imprint and in better condition than most, with 2014 P.F. certificate

EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE AND DESIRABLE SET OF THE 1875 CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING OF THE 1865 FIRST NEWSPAPERS & PERIODICALS ISSUE.
According to the Scott Catalogue, the Continental Bank Note Co. made a second special printing from new plates, which did not have the colored border but did have the National Bank Note Co. imprint in the bottom inner line. They exist both perforated and imperforate, and were not regularly issued. Each with 2006 P.S.E. certificate.
5c Dark Blue, White Border, 1881 Reprint (PR8). Without gum as issued, with top left corner selvage, bright color, choice centering, Extremely Fine, with 2014 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90), SCV $750
84c Pale Rose, 1875 Special Printing (PR46). Without gum as issued, radiant color, three wide margins to clear of design at right
