VERY FINE. A LOVELY MATCHED SET OF TOP IMPRINT AND PLATE NUMBER STRIPS OF THREE OF THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE ISSUE.
Scarce with such wide selvage.
1c Green, Louisiana Purchase (323). Mint N.H., beautiful wide margins with essentially precise centering, sharp color and impression, natural inclusion in top right margin, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2009 and 2022 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95)
2c Carmine, Louisiana Purchase (324). Mint N.H., brilliant color, well-centered, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2014 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95), only ten grade higher

5c Dark Blue, Louisiana Purchase (326). Mint N.H., with unusually wide top imprint selvage, deep rich color on bright paper, precisely centered
EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A PHENOMENAL MINT NEVER HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT LOUISIANA PURCHASE ISSUE, GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. THIS IS WITHOUT QUESTION ONE OF THE FINEST IN EXISTENCE.
With 2006 and 2021 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98). SMQ value is too low in our opinion. Only one grades higher, at 98J (realized $14,500 hammer in 2017 versus SMQ of $7,500). Five others share this grade.
10c Red Brown, Louisiana Purchase (327). Mint N.H., crisp impression, gorgeous centering with wide and balanced margins
EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A BEAUTIFUL MINT NEVER HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT LOUISIANA PURCHASE, GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. — ONLY TWO GRADE HIGHER.
With 2013 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98). Only two grade higher (at 100, we have never offered one) and six others share this desirable grade.
