10c Lindbergh, Large Die Proof on India (C10P1). Die sunk on 202 x 152mm card, with typed "Approved June 7, 1927" and signed by Postmaster General Harry S. New, also initialed by Robert Regard (3rd Assist. P.G.) and Michael Eidness (Supt. Div. Stamps), blue control number 66867 on reverse, card with shallow thin spot on back
VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE SIGNED LARGE DIE PROOF OF THE LINDBERGH AIR MAIL STAMP.
The AAMC states only six large die proofs are known and this is only the second we have offered since 1992.
10c Blue, Special Delivery, Large Die Proofs on India (E1P1-E2P1). Each die sunk on 217 x 137mm card, rich colors, interleaving paper probably from a salesman's sample book, Very Fine
10c 1885-1902 Special Delivery, Small Die Proofs on Wove (E1P2-E6P2). Complete set of five on original card backing from a Roosevelt presentation album, bright and fresh, Very Fine
10c Special Delivery, Woodcut Essays (E7-E4, E7-E5). Five essays, four of No. E7-E4 in a range of subtle shades, one cut large enough to capture some of the solid color beyond the approximately 5mm border, last is No. E7-E5 on 87 x 87mm card, some slight corner thinning of card at top left from old mounting is irrelevant as it cannot be seen from the front, Very Fine
10c Green, Special Delivery, Large Die Proof on India (E7P1). Die sunk on 202 x 152mm card, India paper trimmed to slightly smaller size than die sunk area, deep rich color, blue control no. 328844 on back, fresh and Very Fine, a very rare large die proof which is the first we have offered since keeping computerized records in 1993
15c Orange, Special Delivery, Large Die Proof on India (E13P1). Die sunk on 203 x 152mm card, printed "Approved: March 7, 1925" and signed in black by Postmaster General Harry S. New, blue control number 1319869 on back, vibrant color, fresh and Very Fine, the few examples we have offered show a very small range of control numbers, which is a testament to how few were produced, Scott value without premium for the signature
15c Orange, Special Delivery, Large Die Proof on India (E13P1). Die sunk on 223x152mm card, printed "Approved: March 7, 1925" and signed in blue by Postmaster General Harry S. New, blue control no. 1319870 on back, vivid color, fresh and Very Fine, the few examples we have offered show a very small range of control numbers, which is a testament to how few were produced, Scott value without premium for the signature
20c Black, Special Delivery, Large Die Proof on India (E14P1). Die sunk on 202 x 151mm card, typed "Approved: April 10, 1925." and signed by Postmaster General Harry S. New, blue control no. 1326124 on reverse, intense shade and beautiful crisp condition, Very Fine and rare, based on the tight range of control numbers seen on the few examples we have offered, it is apparent that a small number of these were produced

Group including six items, No. E1P1 large die proof on India, die sunk on 167 x 146mm card, E4P1 large die proof, die sunk on 173 x 152mm card, both Very Fine, also four Roosevelt album small die proofs including Nos. E2P2, E4P2 and E6P2 (two), each on original card backing with one E6 showing large card margins, fresh and Very Fine group
1c-50c Claret, 1894 Postage Due, Large Die Proofs on India (J31P1-J37P1). Complete set die sunk on approximately 152 x 200mm cards, fresh colors, bright cards, Very Fine and choice set
1c-90c Officials, Plate Proofs on India or Card (O1P3-O9P3, O10P4-O93P4). Agriculture set on India (less frequently seen than card), slight oxidation in this set, other departments complete on card, bright colors, overall Very Fine
Officials, Plate Proof Collection. Complete run of all values, card proofs except Executive series, War series, and $5.00 State are India proofs, some of the card proof have adherence on back from prior mounting, a few India proofs with usual irregularities, from the front they are bright and fresh, with Very Fine appearance, Scott value approximately $1,240
5c-25c 1865 Newspapers & Periodicals Issue, Large Die Proofs Printed Directly on Thick Paper (PR2P1-PR4P1). Each approximately 145 x 225mm and showing trace of binding at left from a presentation album, each with interleaving on back and also showing a faint outline of die impression, Very Fine and very unusual, Scott value as normal large die proofs $1,200
Classic Proofs Balance. Group including 10c 1847 No. 2P1 cut to stamps size (faint toning spot, 2011 P.F. certificate), 1857 Reprint plate proofs on card (40P4-47P4), National Bank Note Co. plate proofs on India (145P3-155P3, few small faults), also 5c Trans-Mississippi Bi-Color large die essay cut down to just outside the India paper die sinkage area (288-E5), Pan-American 8c Large Die Proof (298P1), finally Nos. 178P4 and 179P4 matted on colored backing papers and artfully mounted in a medium-size frame with "1875 proofs 178P4, 179P4" and signed "Irv Yollis New York 1976" at bottom, bright colors, the 5c has become detached but could be re-affixed if the backing paper is removed, Very Fine and beautiful artwork for a stamp room or home library, overall a Very Fine proof balance
Back-of-Book Proofs Balance. Variety of plate proofs including set of large-format Newspaper card proofs with original envelope in which they were distributed, few Special Delivery India proofs, sets of Postage Due plate proofs on card in Brown and Claret (two), range of Newspaper & Periodical plate proofs on card, also a Post Office Seal "Post Obitum" plate proof and a set of American Rapid Transit Telegraph India proofs, overall nice condition and a useful balance
