Mint N.H. wide top imprint and plate number 20 block of six, all six stamps have choice centering, radiant color as fresh as the day it was printed, few minor perf separations in ungummed selvage, Extremely Fine, ex Cheney and Gross, we have offered only one other Mint N.H. top position plate block plus another in a pane of 100 since keeping computerized records, with 2023 P.S.E. certificate
2c Carmine Lake, Ty. I (249). Mint N.H. left imprint and plate no. 3 block of six, brilliant color, fresh and Fine, a rare Mint N.H. plate block of this issue, we have offered only three others since the early 1990s

FINE MINT NEVER-HINGED TOP PLATE BLOCK OF THE 2-CENT CARMINE TYPE II 1894 UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE, SCOTT 251. THIS IS THE SCARCEST OF THE 2-CENT TYPES IN PLATE BLOCK FORM. THIS TOP POSITION IN MINT NEVER-HINGED CONDITION IS A GREAT RARITY AND THE ONLY EXAMPLE WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED.
A Power Search review reveals the extreme rarity of this plate block. This is the only Mint N.H. Scott 251 plate block listed in our records (a Mint N.H. side plate block was offered in the 2003 sale of the "Silver Lake" collection but was withdrawn from the sale as it is the watermarked No. 266). This Mint N.H. plate block is a great rarity of the issue.

EXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL-GUM PLATE BLOCK OF THE 2-CENT CARMINE TYPE II UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE, SCOTT 252.
This is a difficult plate block to obtain with choice centering. This is also the first from the left plate position we have offered since keeping computerized records. With 2023 P.S.E. certificate.

4c Dark Brown (254). Top imprint and plate no. 59 block of six, original gum, crisp impression, faint horizontal crease at bottom, natural gum skips, Fine-Very Fine appearance
5c Chocolate (255). Mint N.H. wide top imprint and plate no. 161 block of six, rich color, top left stamp small gum disturbance but accompanying certificate still states Mint N.H., Very Fine, with 2023 P.S.E. certificate
6c Dull Brown (256). Top imprint and plate no. 28 block of six, original gum, h.r. on top center stamp and in selvage, rich color, Fine-Very Fine, this is only the second top position plate block we have offered since keeping computerized records, we offered the other in 2002

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A RARE TOP POSITION PLATE BLOCK OF SIX OF THE 1895 15-CENT WATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE.
The 15c was printed from two plates -- numbers 52 and 264. The former has a different style of imprint. Plate blocks are very scarce. We have offered only two others from this plate; the last time we offered a top position was in 1985 and the last time we offered a bottom position from this plate was a decade ago.
