First Issue Experimental Silk Papers. Stock pages with a 54 items identified by a knowledgeable owner as being on experimental silk paper, his eyesight may be better than ours as we did not see silk papers on some but definitely do on others, we do see some fibers on R89d and at least one R98d and one R100d, some faults, some Fine-Very Fine, offered on their own merits

Private Die Proprietary Experimental Silk Papers. Attractive group on stock pages of Private Die match and Medicine stamps mostly identified by a knowledgeable collector as being on experimental silk paper, we do detect silk fibers on some but others may benefit from better eyesight than ours or from some creative imagination, a few are identified as double transfers which we also had difficulty seeing in many cases, however some are undoubtedly correctly identified, some faults, some Fine-Very Fine, offered on its own merits but this may yield some pleasant surprises for the studious collector

$1.00 Brown Carmine, 1941 Hunting Permit (RW8). Mint N.H. and with top plate no. 146271 selvage, essentially perfectly centered, fresh color and detailed impression, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2022 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98), only two examples grade higher (highest is 100)
