EXTREMELY FINE MINT NEVER-HINGED BOTTOM PLATE BLOCK OF THE 20-CENT ON 10-CENT OFFICES IN CHINA.
This issue is very scarce as a top or bottom plate block in Mint N.H. condition. A Power Search review reveals that we have offered only two other Mint N.H. bottom plate blocks since 1993. Ex "Magnolia".

5c Dull Blue, 1875 Reprint (PR5). Without gum as issued, block of four with top right corner selvage, some slightly wild perfs at top right, few small faults in selvage at top, Fine, Scott value as singles
1c-$100.00 1895 Watermarked Issue (PR114-PR125). Complete set of plate no. blocks of eight, mix of bottoms, one top and sides, original gum, nearly all Mint N.H., just the $5.00 one stamp hinged and with a disturbance, $100 with hinge-reinforced perf separations, brilliant colors, $2.00 with gum creases and one stamp tiny tear (outside the plate block), $20.00 top right stamp with small piece out (outside the plate block), also a few minor perf separations to be expected, overall Fine-Very Fine and impressive set of larger plate blocks
1c-$100.00 1895 Watermarked Issue (PR114-PR125). Complete set of plate no. blocks of six, eight are top position and four are bottom position, original gum, more than half are Mint N.H., 1c, 50c, $5.00 and $20.00 hinged or h.r., 25c and $50.00 hinged or h.r. in ungummed selvage, including reinforcing some perf separations in selvage ($50.00 h.r. in selvage barely touches the gum and could probably be turned into a fully Mint N.H. plate block), Fine-Very Fine set of plate blocks and desirable with the majority of the values Mint N.H., Scott value as all hinged plate blocks $7,250 (only the $50.00 is priced Mint N.H. but we are using the hinged value here)
1c-$100.00, 1895 Watermarked Issue (PR114-PR125). Complete set in Mint N.H. imprint and plate no. horizontal strips of three, all but two are tops, $2.00 and $100.00 are bottoms, brilliant colors and mostly well-centered, $50.00 with couple small selvage tears at top, Fine to mostly Very Fine, a fresh and attractive set, Scott only prices these in hinged condition ($2,555 for the set hinged), the Mint N.H. prices for singles are more than double the hinged prices so this set, if listed, might be priced at more than $5,000, lot also includes Nos. PR114-PR1125 singles, all but the $2.00 and $100.00 are Mint N.H., Fine, additional Scott value for this set is $775
