"Robert H. Morris PM." Bold free frank on brown folded City of New York Post Office official notice to postmaster of Brookfield N.Y., relating to an order for blanks, dated May 27, 1847 at top with year printed inside frame, some minor wrinkling, Very Fine free frank from the creator of the New York Postmaster's Provisional and a nice frontispiece to a collection of that issue — this was sent when the No. 9X1 stamps were still current, a little more than five weeks before the first General Issue on July 1, 1847
Providence, Rhode Island, 5c & 10c Gray Black, Se-Tenant (10X2a). Complete sheet of 12, original gum, h.r. at top and bottom edges, large margins, crisp impression, typical slight wrinkling and gum creases

Complete sheets are scarce, particularly with gum.
St. Louis, Missouri, 10c Black on Gray Lilac (11X5). Type I, Position 2, ample margins to just touched at bottom right, unobtrusive manuscript cancel at bottom, faults including couple pinholes at bottom, Fine appearance and very presentable example of this scarce stamp, SCV $11,500

5c Red Brown (1). Part original gum which covers much of the back, large margins to full including top sheet margin, worn-plate impression, two light horizontal creases

With 2025 P.S.E. certificate. Scott value as original gum $6,000 and as no gum $2,100.
5c Brown (1). Original gum, full to ample margins all around, worn-plate impression, small tear in top margin, Very Fine appearance, a scarce and affordable original-gum example, with 2025 P.F. certificate, SCV $6,000
5c Red Brown (1). Unused (no gum), rich color and detailed early impression, ample margins to just in at lower left, fresh and Fine unused example, with 2025 P.F. certificate
