3c Scarlet, Reprint (41). Without gum as issued, fiery color, attractive centering and margins for this difficult issue
VERY FINE AND CHOICE EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT 1857 REPRINT.
The Continental Bank Note Company made a new plate for the 3c 1857 Reprint, consisting of 100 subjects. 10,000 stamps were printed (100 impressions). 479 of the 3c were sold, and the remaining 9,521 were destroyed on July 23, 1884, by order of the Postmaster General.
With 1997 P.F. certificate.
3c Scarlet, Reprint (41). Without gum as issued, vivid color, reperfed at bottom, otherwise Very Fine, only 479 sold
5c Orange Brown, Reprint (42). Without gum as issued, vibrant color, margins to in at bottom, fresh and Fine, 878 sold, two small backstamps
10c Blue Green, Reprint (43). Without gum as issued, nicely centered with balanced margins, slight scuff at top of Washington's head is not particularly obvious, appears Extremely Fine, only 516 sold
12c Greenish Black, Reprint (44). Attractive margins and centering, intense shade

30c Yellow Orange, Reprint (46). Without gum as issued, brilliant color and well-centered for this difficult issue
fresh and VERY FINE EXAMPLE OF THE 30-CENT 1857 REPRINT.
Only 480 sold. Small backstamp. With 1990 P.F certificate.
