3c Orange Brown, Ty. I, II (10, 10A). Two beautifully complementary matching pieces, first is Ty. I (10), Position 24R1E, full margins to just clear, tied by well-struck ultramarine "Lynchburg Va. Sep. 25" circular datestamp on blue piece, Very Fine, second Ty. II (10A), Position 69L1E, large margins to just touched at bottom right including part of adjoining stamp at bottom, tied on buff piece by same well-struck ultramarine "Lynchburg Va. Sep. 26" circular datestamp, Very Fine, ex Saadi, with 1984 and 1992 P.F. certificates, a scarce and lovely pair of 3c Orange Browns, on pieces with ultramarine cancels and sent on consecutive days from Lynchburg
3c Orange Brown, Ty. II (10A). Position 61L5E, large to huge margins, deep rich color, bold strike of segmented circle of wedges cancel of Huntsville Ms., central thin, Extremely Fine appearance, ex Gorham, with 2014 P.F. certificate

March (Paid 3)" Utah Territory circular datestamp, Fine, scarce territorial use and nice Plate 3 "Three Rows" pair, ex Dr. Amonette and Saadi

Large margins to just in at top right, cancelled by well-struck "Paid" in oval handstamp, matching "Livingston Texas Nov. 24" circular datestamp on small gray piece, Very Fine and very attractive, from Sotheby's Nov. 21, 1977 auction and ex Saadi, with 1992 P.F. certificate
3c Dull Red, Ty. I (11). Bright color described on certificate as Orange Red, large margins to clear, neat strike of "FREE" in double-line oval express company handstamp, Extremely Fine strike, ex Saadi, with 1989 P.F. certificate
3c Dull Red, Ty. II (11A). Large margins to ample including part of adjoining stamp at bottom, bright color, tied by unusually clear strike of blue Philadelphia "5 Cts. Due" straightline handstamp on small piece, Extremely Fine stamp and cancel, the 5c due marking includes 3c for postage and 2c for carrier fee to the post office, ex Haas, Grunin, Koppersmith and Saadi, with 1989 P.F. certificate
3c Dull Red, Ty. I (11). Huge margins to in including part of adjoining stamp at bottom, tied by blue Running Stag in Circle fancy cancel of Shelbourne Falls Mass. (Skinner-Eno PA-Dr 1) on small piece, about as Fine a strike of this scarce cancel that can be encountered, it usually appears as nothing more than a blob, ex Saadi
3c Dull Red, Ty. II (11A). Two, Positions 10L2L and 13L3, each with different bold strike of blue "3" of Oberlin O., one with underline below the numeral and one without, both stamps with four margins including a right sheet margin, both with a faint crease, Extremely Fine strikes and a beautiful matching pair, ex Dr. Amonette
3c 1851-57 Issues, "Paid" Cancels (11A, 26). Outstanding group of six stamps with beautifully struck "Paid" cancels, five No. 11A and one No. 26, including three different "Paid 3"in arc from Orfordville N.H., Rutland Vt. and unidentified town, two with different blue negative "Paid" in grid from Norwich Conn., one reversed, the other on small piece, finally No. 26 with "3 Paid" from Oberlin O., lightly toned, Extremely Fine strikes, two P.F. certificates and a note from Dr. Amonette accompany
3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26). Bright shade, cancelled by clear strike of Flag fancy cancel of West Haven Conn. (Skinner-Eno PT-F 25), improved perfs at top, Very Fine strike, ex Saadi, with 1992 P.F. certificate
3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26). Deep rich color, cancelled by bold strike of "L.B." in octagonal grid cancel of West Hartford Conn. (Skinner-Eno LC-L 1), small thin spot at top left, Extremely Fine strike of this postal markings with the initials of postmaster Leonard Buckland, ex Saadi, with 1996 P.F. certificate
3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26). Bright color, perfect strike of elaborate "Paid 3" in oval fancy cancel, choice centering, fresh and Extremely Fine, ex Gorham with 2014 P.F. certificate
3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26). Rich color, clear strike of "34" (States) in Star in Circle fancy cancel of Hatfield Mass. (Skinner-Eno ST-C 5), pulled perf at bottom, Very Fine strike of this rare cancel, Hatfield was founded in 1660 and is near Springfield, the "34" refers to the number of states in the Union, ex Newbury and Saadi, with 1995 P.F. certificate
3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26). Bold strike of Lyre fancy cancel of Canton Miss., Very Fine, with 2017 P.F. certificate
3c 1851-57 Issues, Fancy and Unusual Cancels (11A, 26). Five stamps, four imperforate and one perforated, each with a fancy or unusual cancel including Star of David of Chicopee Mass. (P.S.E. VF-XF 85), Mitchell Iowa boxed datestamp, Columbia City Iowa two-line handstamp, couple others, some small faults, overall Fine and unusual, four certificates accompany (three for Star of David)

With copy of 1993 P.F. certificate for a block of four. With 2025 P.S.E. certificate as this single (OGph, VF 80). Only two original-gum stamps grade higher and four others share this grade.
