2c Brown (113). Intense shade on bright paper, near perfect centering, beautifully struck blue target cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp in every respect, ex Field, with 2007 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $900 for ordinary black cancel)
6c Ultramarine (115). Well-centered with Jumbo margins, perfectly struck bright red circular datestamp, Extremely Fine, a beautiful stamp, with 2000 P.F. certificate

VERY FINE. THIS IS THE EARLIEST DATED EXAMPLE OF ANY OF THE 1869 PICTORIAL BICOLORS.
This Type I stamp was written up in Chronicle 127. This small circular datestamp was used at New Orleans from 1866 thru August 1869. By September a larger style of circular datestamp replaced this type of device. By March 1870, Type I stamps had long been superseded by Type II.

Ex "Golden Oak", With 2014 P.S.A.G. certificate (95 used). Scott Catalogue assigns a $500 premium for a red cancel.
30c Ultramarine & Carmine (121). Position 100 with bottom right corner selvage, original gum, lightly hinged, rich colors, unusual and interesting plate wash in selvage from vignette impression, which is shifted downwards

VERY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL LIGHTLY CANCELLED AND SCARCE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 6-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL RE-ISSUE.
The 6c is one of the rarest of the 1869 Pictorial Re-Issues in used condition. SMQ estimates that approximately 30 exist, and our own informal count concurs. Most are either off-center or have flaws. This choice stamp is certainly one of the finer of the used population.
