very FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE WELL-CENTERED UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1870 90-CENT NATIONAL bank note company ISSUE with h grill, scott 144. VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND WITH SUCH CHOICE CENTERING.

The 90c National Bank Note Company grilled issue is one of the most difficult of the series to obtain with decent centering. Collectors who have been looking for this issue with good centering would be well-advised to consider this stamp.

Ex Golin. Small blue backstamp. With 1971 and 1989 P.F. certificates as original gum. With 2024 P.S.E. certificate as regummed.
