Dead Letter Office, Honolulu, H.I., Oct. 28, 1896. Clear double-circle datestamp, struck upon release of locally addressed 1c Red on Buff Postal Card (UX5), originated with "Honolulu H.I. Jun. 15, 1896 9AM" duplex datestamp, went unclaimed and struck with "Honolulu * Advertised * Jul. 31, 1896" circular datestamp and "Pas Reclame/Unclaimed" two-line handstamp, back of card with Japanese printing, Very Fine and scarce Honolulu Dead Letter Office markings from the Hawaiian Republic period, illustrated in and accompanied by a 1993 article from The Texas Philatelist discussing these covers
