10c Green, Ty. V (35). Straight edge at left, tied by "Sacramento City Cal. Feb. 3" circular datestamp on light red "Putt's Overland Envelope" with small illustrations of stagecoaches to Brooklyn N.Y., barely reduced at left, recipient and address crossed out, Fine and scarce use, the different “Putt’s Overland Envelopes” were published to promote the cause of building a railroad to replace the stagecoach mail route, all of the text on front and back is a sarcastic celebration of “Uncle Sam’s Great Mule Railroad.”, ex William West
