Blue framed handstamped frank (Thomas BUK-100) on 3c Green entire (U82), usual conjunctive use with black printed Wells, Fargo & Co. frank to San Francisco, minor opening fault at top left and missing part of backflap, otherwise Very Fine, scarce frank from this small express that ran between Bakersfield and Kernsville Cal. (connecting with Wells Fargo), only approximately ten are recorded, nearly all from the William Willis correspondence, another example in the same hand as the cover offered here originated in Darwin Cal., ex Lyons
