VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE $4.00 COLUMBIAN IN THE ROSE CARMINE SHADE.

Small backstamp not noted on certificate. With 2008 P.S.E. certificate (VF 80). Only one grades higher (at 95, brought $47,500 hammer in 2010) and none share this grade. One is also known graded 80 in the Pale Aniline Rose sub-shade.
