EXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS STUNNING STAMP IS GRADED GEM 100 BY P.S.E. THIS IS WITHOUT QUESTION ONE OF THE FINEST IN EXISTENCE.

Our review of the Trans-Mississippi Issue in the P.S.E. Population Report revealed just how rare this stamp is in the top grades. For the 2c, only one grades higher (recently realized $30,000 in our "Vaquero" sale) and none share this grade. Across all Trans-Mississippi denominations, for Mint N.H. stamps the 1c has one at 100J and none at 100, the 5c has two at 100 and the 8c has two at 100. That's it. These are extremely low numbers for such a popular series.

With 2013 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100). Only one grades higher and none share this perfect grade.
