12c Black (69). Original gum, lightly hinged, almost perfectly centered with wide margins, sharp proof-like impression

EXTREMELY FINE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 12-CENT 1861 ISSUE.

Ex "Scarsdale" and Curtis. With 2002 P.F. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90). This is the highest grade awarded to an original-gum Scott 69 by P.S.E., and only five others have achieved this grade.
